Training:
Where does the training take place?
Aberbeeg enduro track, Hafod y Dafal Farm, Abertillery NP13 2ER.
There is a fireroad that takes you to the top of the farm, which is where we meet.
What kit am i provided with?
The hire bikes we use at the moment are Yamaha TTR 125s. If needed you will be given riding kit: Helmet, boots, gloves, body armour, knee pads, riding top, trousers and jacket. Please note goggles are not provided.
What do I need to bring with me?
We suggest you wear some light clothing underneath eg leggings and a long sleeved top. You will need to bring drinks, food and any medication you will need for the day.
What will I be doing on the day?
For complete beginners we will start with pulling away and stopping safely, then go on to changing gears, sitting and standing position and cornering.
Off road skills will focus on the standing position, throttle and clutch control, body position in standing and sitting corners, braking off road - in particular downhill, ruts and hills. If you are booked onto a 1-1 we can focus on any skills you are wanting to improve.
Rideouts
What level do I have to be?
For most of the rideouts we suggest some trail riding experience but the routes are suitable for novice to experienced riders.
What do I need to bring?
A road legal bike.
Essential items to bring:
Please carry any medication you need with you

Body armour/boots/helmet/goggles/glasses/kit
Well prepared bikes – road legal if trail riding
Please think about what tyres you have on, ideally not too hard and ideally with mooses. If inner tubes please bring spare tube, tyre levers and pump
Spark plug and spark plug spanner for your bike
Levers for your bike
Any tools specific to your bike
Bikes should be fully fuelled before we start riding
Autumn/Winter
Waterproofs – please bring waterproofs some of the riding maybe out on the moorland and you are likely to get wet and cold quickly.
Warm layers

Where do we meet?
We will send out the meeting point at time of booking. We will generally meet in a carpark near the start of the rideout.

A cafe on route
What happens if I break down?
We will endeavor to help you fix your bike. However if no solution is found we will ensure that you and your bike get back to your van safely
What happens if I have an injury?
The staff are Outdoor First Aid Trained and will ensure you have the treatment you need.
